Onechart team

DAVID BRODEGARd | Co-founder & ceo

David wrote the first lines of code that became OneChart out of personal necessity. After going without a primary care provider for years, David recognized that his own medical records were stored across several different states, with a half a dozen different doctors, doing nobody any good. What started as a personal project quickly branched to his family and became a lightweight service to help patients regain control of their own medical information.

David's academic background is Public Health with an emphasis in Epidemiology. Dave started the OneChart project while studying Health Informatics at Northeastern University in Boston MA. Before deciding to focus on delivering OneChart to a broader audience, David spent several years working for athenahealth, one of the most innovative companies in Health IT.

Outside of the office, David balances his love of cooking with a (nearly) equal passion for trail running in the Wasatch mountain range in central Utah.

Rick mirell | co-founder & chief revenue officer

For Rick, the mission of OneChart Health is one part professional and two parts personal, driven by his own experiences: developing food allergies in his thirties, managing the health hurdles that come with parenthood, and acting as a care team member for his father, who is battling Parkinson's disease.

Rick possesses a wealth of sales leadership experience across a variety of disruptive healthcare technologies, including population health management, care coordination services, revenue cycle management, and electronic health records. Before co-founding OneChart Health, Rick built high-performing sales teams for the emerging services division at athenahealth; previously, Rick merged a versatile set of management experiences including account management, procurement/operations, and business development.

A graduate of Illinois State University, Rick resides in the greater Saint Louis area with his family. When not chasing his dream of revolutionizing healthcare, Rick can be found chasing his two young sons at a local parks or, most likely, Annie’s Frozen Custard.

Scott crunkleton | co-founder & chief technical officer

Scott has a drive to create. He derives the most fulfillment in knowing his inventions have helped someone. After being introduced to the several inefficiencies in the health records' industry, Scott eagerly architected and developed the first several versions of the OneChart backend systems.

Scott comes from an academic and industry background in cloud computing. While studying Computer Science at Brigham Young University, Scott was a research assistant for the Internet Research Lab on campus, investigating security issues with the multicast DNS protocol. Post-graduation, Scott spent several years at Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform, developing services over distributed system architectures.

In his free time, Scott enjoys exercising, hiking beautiful places, participating in league Ultimate Frisbee, and binging Netflix. Having a knack for getting in good with local restauranteurs, Scott is proud of his growing network of relationships with Seattle restaurant owners.
